FRANKLIN
LAKES -- The Old Tappan girls basketball team has been on a roll.
After a 2-4 start to the season, the Golden Knights have now won
10 straight games with the lastest one among the most impressive.
Old Tappan knocked off defending Bergen County champion Ramapo
in its own gym on Thursday night, 57-47, to improve to 12-4 on
the season.
Senior
Shannon Funsch led the way against Ramapo, altering her offensive
approach and repeatedly goin gto the basket on the way to a game-high
24 points. Alex Radetzky, another of Old Tappan's four senior
starters, added 19 for the Knights, who are playing their best
basketball of the season heading into Saturday's Bergen County
Tournament Round of 16 matchup against 13th seeded Pascack Hills.
